Ground breaking news from Nuevo Arenal! Paradise Properties has begun moving dirt for the infrastructure of Lake Park Town Homes, a new gated community project scheduled for completion in 2008. Lake Park Town Homes will offer 31 homes ranging in size from 1000 square feet to 1600 square feet, plus a club house, swimming and Jacuzzi pools, recreation areas, boat storage, and many other amenities, all perched on the shore of Lake Arenal in the town of Nuevo Arenal.
With growth rampant throughout the Guanacaste region the start of a new housing project may not sound much like news, but for the Nuevo Arenal area the Lake Park project is breaking ground in more ways than one. Among other amenities and innovations, LakePark Town Homes will be the first community project in the town of Arenal with an onsite sewage treatment plant.
"The treatment plant does add a little to the overall cost of construction" says Nayra Arraya,site engineer, 'but the eventual owners of these homes will be able to sleep peacefully, knowing they are helping to keep Lake Arenal clean for everyone."
With split level designs, garden areas, patios, many homes boasting lake view balconies, interior sky-walks, and other design features usually not found in this price range it is easy to see why this project is generating interest in local government as well as prospective buyers.
"Paradise Properties wants to show other developers how easy it is to do things the rightway," Ms Arraya states, "and that means first to think of the larger community."
The construction of the homes will begin some time this summer, once roads, the sewerlines and treatment plant, water, electricity, and the common area amenities have been built. If all goes according to plan the Lake Park community will point the way for other builders who wish to provide housing with low environmental impact on the lake area.
